Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
This policy explains what data TechLearningPRO ("we", "the site") collects when you visit techlearningpro.com, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to every page and course on the site.
1. Data we collect
Information you give us
- Account data — if you create an optional free account, we store your email address, a display name, and (if you sign in with Google) the profile name and avatar that Google returns. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider.
- Learning progress — lessons you mark complete and notes you save, linked to your account so they follow you across devices.
- Messages and feedback — the content of lesson feedback and any email you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, device type, browser and operating system.
- Anonymous usage events such as which course cards are clicked and how far you scroll a lesson, used only in aggregate.
- Server logs including IP address and timestamps, kept for security and abuse prevention.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and we do not collect payment card details because nothing on the site is sold.
2. How we use data
- To serve the site and remember your preferences such as light or dark theme.
- To save and display your learning progress and notes.
- To understand which lessons are useful so we can improve or expand them.
- To display advertising that funds free access to the courses.
- To detect abuse, spam and security incidents, and to comply with legal obligations.
Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (delivering account features), legitimate interests (site security, aggregate analytics, site improvement), and consent (personalised advertising and non-essential cookies, where required).
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and theme preference, analytics cookies to measure aggregate traffic, and advertising cookies set by our ad partners. Details of each category and how to control them are in our Cookie Policy.
4. Advertising
Lessons and course pages display ads served by third-party advertising networks. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices and optout.networkadvertising.org.
- Where required by law, personalised advertising and the vendors involved are presented for consent before any advertising cookie is set, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time.
Ad networks act as independent controllers of the data they collect. We do not share your email address or account data with advertisers.
5. Service providers we share data with
- Hosting and content delivery, to serve the pages you request.
- Our authentication and database provider, which stores account, progress and feedback data.
- Privacy-respecting analytics, to produce aggregate traffic reports.
- Advertising networks, as described above.
We never sell personal information. Data may be processed on servers outside your country; where that involves transfers out of the EEA or UK, providers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
6. Retention
Account data and progress are kept until you ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for up to 12 months. Aggregate analytics are retained indefinitely because they contain no identifiers.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent. California residents may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and may opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Send any request via the contact form. We respond within 30 days and never charge for a first request. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, access to the database is restricted by row-level security policies, and administrative access is limited to named accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect data with measures appropriate to its sensitivity.
9. External links
Lessons link to documentation, repositories and tools we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own — please read their policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
