Cookie Policy

    Last updated: August 26, 2026

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use browser local storage, which works similarly. This page lists what we use and how to control it. It complements our Privacy Policy.

    1. Strictly necessary

    • Session and authentication — keeps you signed in if you create an account. Without it the account features cannot work.
    • Theme preference — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.
    • Security — short-lived tokens used to prevent request forgery and abuse.

These cannot be switched off from within the site, but you can clear them in your browser.

    2. Analytics

We record aggregate page views, referrers and simple interaction events (for example, which course card was clicked, or whether a lesson was scrolled to the end). These are used to decide which lessons to expand or rewrite. Reports are aggregate and we do not use them to identify individuals.

    3. Advertising

Advertising networks used on lesson and course pages may set cookies or read device identifiers to limit how often you see an ad, measure ad performance, and — where permitted — show ads relevant to your interests. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can control this outside our site:

    4. Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings — usually under Privacy or Site settings. Blocking all cookies will sign you out and reset your theme preference, but lessons remain fully readable.

    5. Do Not Track

There is no common standard for honouring Do Not Track signals; we do not currently respond to them, and instead rely on the controls listed above.
